Commissioner Justin West

Constable Justin West has served Galveston County Precinct 4 since 2021 and began his second term in January 2025. Drawing on experience as a former Lieutenant in Galveston County Constable Precinct 1 and patrolman in Tiki Island, Constable West has worked with Commissioners Court and other county departments to modernize his office with new technology, improved efficiency, and expanded services countywide. His duties include providing security for key county, state, and federal offices, working with Homeland Security, and providing court security and serving civil process for the Justice of the Peace Court. In 2021, Galveston County Judge Mark Henry appointed Constable West to the leadership team of the Galveston County Southern Border Taskforce to combat illicit drugs, crime, and human smuggling stemming from the Texas-Mexico border. 

Appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement in 2024, Constable West works closely with the Texas Legislature and other agencies on law enforcement issues. Active in his community, Constable West is a League City Lions Club member, active in youth sports, and lives in League City with his wife, Holly, and their son, Elijah.
